Dream Your World Into Being

Our Truest Life is When We Are in Dreams Awake

‘The Earthkeepers believe that the world is real, but only because we’ve dreamed it into being. But dreaming requires act of courage, for when we lack it, we have to settle for the world that’s being created by our culture or by our genes. To dream courageously, we must be willing to use our hearts.’-Alberto Villoldo

Have you ever questioned the reality you live in?

Have you ever considered if past or future really exist? Have you ever thought of reality as a dream?

Have you ever asked yourself:

Am I awake? Or dreaming? Is reality a dream? Or reality? Is dreaming a reality? What is reality?

TIBETAN TRADITION & TIME

According to the Tibetan tradition the past doesn’t exist, the future doesn’t exist, the present moment is changing, everything is changing and it is just like a dream.Tibetans say that because life is like a dream, if we can understand the impermanent nature of reality and its dreamlike essence, we can come to be very close to reality and to ourselves.

INDIGENOUS CULTURES AND DREAMTIME

For Aboriginal people in Australia the historical time is a concept that moves across past, present and future. This eternal quality of time comes from Aboriginal cosmology which is centred on ‘The Dreaming’.

Events do not happen now, as a result of a chain of events extending back to a beginning. They exist and they happen because that Dreamtime is also here and now. Aboriginal belief is that the Spirit of Creation is embodied in the landscape and connected to the people who identify by it, and it is always present, the Dreaming is always present.

Art is one of the ways through which the people communicate with and maintain a Oneness with the Dreaming. When they take on the characteristics of the Dreaming ancestors through dance, song and art, the spirits of the creator ancestors are renewed.

If you could imagine such a perception of the world, what would you feel if you ask yourself again right now - is this I am living a reality or a dream? Am I awake or am I dreaming?
